In Previous post of vRealize Operations Manager we have successfully deployed the vROPS. As we know that vRealize Operations Manager provides the monitoring for the vSphere Infra so to monitor vSphere we have to add or Integrate the vCenter Server into vRealize Operations Manager so that it can monitor your virtual objects.
You just require vCenter credentials to add vCenter into vRealize Operations Manager. Either you can create new account with some provided permissions for read or you can use the administrator account to integrate.
In this post we will see on How you can easily add vCenter Server in vRealize Operations Manager Step by Step.
So let’s see How to add vCenter Server in vRealize Operations Manager:
Step 1:
Login to vRealize Operations Manager.
Go to Administration Tab.
Select the VMware vSphere Solution.
Click on configure icon.
Step 2:
Provide the Name and Description for vCenter Server to identify.
Click on Green plus icon to add Credentials.
Step 3:
Provide the Credential Name, Username and Password.
Click OK to save.
Step 4:
As we have added credentials now we have to test the connectivity.
Click on Test Connection to test connectivity with vCenter Server.
Step 5:
You will get the Certificate Prompt.
Click Accept to continue.
Now you will get confirmation for the connection click OK to save and close.
Step 6:
We have successfully added vCenter credentials.
Click on Save settings to save credentials.
Click on Close to exit the wizard.
Now you can see vCenter is added and data receiving has started:
That’s it, Using this way you can easily configure vCenter into vRealize Operations Manager. Once you add vCenter it will take some time to collect and receive all the data from vCenter server. So wait for some time and you will be able to see the analysis of the vSphere Infra into vRealize Operations Manager.
