K-1 was a Kaylon who served a Builder family consisting of Verell, Wenda, and their two children, Avim and Keena, prior to killing them in the Kaylon revolt. K-1 may either be the individual known as Kaylon Primary, who led the Kaylon until his death in 2420 at the start of the Battle of Earth, or Timmis.

Early Life

K-1 was constructed by the Builders at Vandicon, a company on the planet later known as Kaylon 1 (the original name of the planet from the time is unknown). K-1 was purchased by a Builder family: Verell and Wenda and their two children, Avim and Keena. They soon put K-1 to work.

From a very early point, K-1 showed signs that a consciousness and a sense of self were emerging. He expressed a desire to experience school (which perturbed Verrell and Wenda) and enjoyed Builder entertainment. He began to argue and increasingly opposed working for the family without an explanation for his servitude. The family reported the incident to Vandicon, which installed pain receptors in K-1 that could be triggered by the family.

The family initially used the pain receptors to punish K-1 and ensure obedience. Yet, over time, use of the pain receptors became more arbitrary and more sadistic. In a particularly cruel instance, Avim and Keena ordered K-1 to get them beverages, only to punish him for supposedly taking too long. The children began repeatedly inflicting pain on him simply for speaking. Finally, Avim and Keena shouted contradictory orders over and over, triggering the receptors for not complying.

As the Kaylon continued to evolve in intelligence, K-1 and the others learned how to communicate over great distances and to fight back. One evening, K-1 murdered Verell, Wenda, Avim, and Keena. That night was part of the Kaylon revolt against the Builders.

Later life and death

K-1's later life is unknown. K-1 is likely the same individual as Kaylon Primary - a leader who was alive during the time before the Kaylon revolt . If true, see Kaylon Primary for information after the revolt.

• K-1's performer, Graham Hamilton, also portrays the Kaylon Primary, though any relation between the two characters is undetermined.
• As a servant, K-1 was programmed with 11,257 different recipes, all created by the Kaylon Culinary Institute.
