Wine Profile

Bergerac is a Red Wine produced by Ch芒teau Lamothe Belair in Bergerac ( 馃嚝馃嚪 France).

On the palate, it is pleasantly refreshing and leaves a long finish, which come from aging in wood. Medium body, medium fine tannins and a focused finish. The nose is delicate and appealing.

Bergerac is a pleasant and discrete wine. The aroma is pepper, red berries and even a little mint. Balanced taste: soft tannins, moderate acidity. A great option for a dinner with meat.

Fantastic bouquet of the most beautiful dark ripe berries in wonderful combination with wood, tobacco and chocolate. Nice deep burgundy color with a visible fatness. The wine is full-bodied and powerful without being too much.

Colore rosso rubino scurissimo ed impenetrabile. Al naso frutti neri maturi , spezie e affumicato. All鈥檃ssaggio ciliegia nera , ribes nero , confettura di prugne , pepe nero e tabacco scuro, Morbido e setoso. Uno dei migliori primitivi. Eccellente.

Region
The Bergerac wine-growing region, a subregion of South West France around the town of Bergerac in the Dordogne department, comprises 93 communes. Its boundaries correspond more or less with those of the Arrondissement of Bergerac, immediately east of the Bordeaux wine region.
Grapes
Cabernet Franc is one of the major black grape varieties worldwide. It is principally grown for blending with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the Bordeaux style, but can also be vinified alone, as in the Loire's Chinon.
Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climates from Canada's Okanagan Valley to Lebanon's Beqaa Valley.
Malbec is a purple grape variety used in making red wine. The grapes tend to have an inky dark color and robust tannins, and are known as one of the six grapes allowed in the blend of red Bordeaux wine.
Merlot is a dark blue鈥揷olored wine grape variety, that is used as both a blending grape and for varietal wines. The name Merlot is thought to be a diminutive of merle, the French name for the blackbird, probably a reference to the color of the grape.
