Here's a close up of my twilling. Not sure I have it right, but I like the look. I hope to teach this stitch to my quilt club in June.
I also finished up the applique on my new grandson,Toby's quilt. My daughter and the kids came by this morning and I gave them the quilt. He looks like he is sitting on the branch with the owl, don't you think? Gotta love that t-shirt he is wearing - guess whoooooooooo bought it for him? I have included a picture of the top half of the label and you can see the backing cloth too. Some of the fabrics in this quilt are from my father's shirts - very special to me and will hopefully be special to Toby since he never got to meet his Great Grandpa.
And I close with one more picture from Port Huron. We saw many beautiful homes like this one.
Thanks for stopping by,
Teresa

I have never heard of twilling, but it looks really pretty. Guess I will also have to investigate.
I love Toby's quilt!! And he matches quite nicely with his shorts. :) Great job!
Love you, Momma! So glad you made it home safely. :)
A 90 year old friend taught me twilling last year and I love it. You're doing a great job! blessings, marlene
what a view your friend has.
I saw something on twilling too. I do want to give it a try. Have you seen Cyndi's blog? She has some really neat samples.

Your grandson is adorable with his quilt.
What a neat idea to make the quilt from your father's shirts -- a wonderful keepsake! Your Twilling looks interesting -- I've never heard of it!
Will we be learning twilling next? I still have a paper-piecing project to do, don't I?! And I missed this past week's meeting but I was "working" in Anderson - I have witnesses!!
The quilt (and Toby) look great!
I had not heard of twilling wither, but after seeing this and I've now watched a how too video, I think I may need to find a project to try this out on.
