HYOSUNG GT250 Comet (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

In 2010, the South Korean motorcycle maker released the Hyosung GT250 Comet, a naked motorcycle that debuted in 2004. It remained largely unchanged until 2010, when it received a new fuel injection system.

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

The Comet series comprised 125, 250, and 650cc V-twin-powered recreational motorcycles. The GT250 was the naked version, and the GT250R was fully faired.

In the performance department, the 2009Hyosung GT250 Comet had installed a 249cc four-stroke liquid-cooled V-twin engine at its core that delivered 30 hp at 10,500 rpm and 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) torque at 9,500 rpm.

It was made around a steel frame that housed the suspension system. The system consisted of a 41 mm inverted telescopic fork handling the front suspension and an adjustable monoshock on the rear end.

Two 300 mm brake rotors mounted on the front 17-inch wheel, and a 230 mm brake disc mounted on the 17-inch rear wheel achieved the braking power. All discs were clamped by hydraulic calipers.

In the visual department, the motorcycle had standard fittings like a round headlight up front, a tiny windscreen, a two-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system, and six-spoke aluminum alloy wheels.
