HYOSUNG GT250R (2010-2011) Specs, Performance & Photos

Hyosung was a South Korean motorcycle manufacturer founded in 1978. It was a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. In 1979, Hyosung started manufacturing Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs.

In 2010, the Korean brand released the Hyosung GT250R, the fully-faired motorcycle of the range. It debuted in 2004 and was in its seventh consecutive production year, which brought several changes.

The 2010 model year came in a restyled package, with the most notable feature being the LED taillight. In addition to visual improvements, the bike featured a new fuel injection system, which became standard on all 2010 Hyosung GT models.

The bike's suspension system comprised a 51 mm inverted fork mounted on the front end and a pre-load-adjustable shock absorber on the rear, which provided excellent riding characteristics.

The braking power came from two 300 mm brake rotors mounted on the front wheel and a 230 mm brake rotor mounted on the rear wheel. Hydraulic calipers clamped all discs, providing excellent stopping performance.

Regarding power, the 2010 Hyosung GT250R boasted 28 hp with a peak force at 10,500 rpm and 22 Nm (16 lb-ft) torque at 8,000 rpm from a 249cc four-stroke V-twin liquid-cooled engine fed by a fuel injection system.

It was visually characterized by six-spoke aluminum wheels, a two-into-one exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the right-hand side, a two-piece dual seat with a pillion grab rail, and a full fairing with a medium-sized windscreen.
