“Extracurricular” Debuts Gritty Main Trailer Featuring Tenacious Young Cast
Extracurricular screams deviation to usual youth themed Korean dramas
Netflix’s teenage crime drama tells the stories of high school students who get involve in a crime and the consequences they have to face in the aftermath.
Boasting of fresh and young actors to play the lead roles, Extracurricular tapped the services of veteran director Kim Jin Min whose works include Lawless Lawyer, The Time Between Dog and Wolf and Marriage Contract. Teaming up with budding writer Jin Han Sae, who took over the script writing duties, the two created an unconventional and exciting youth-centric drama.

In the released main trailer of Netflix, Extracurricular provides stunning highlights of the show where the main leads risk their lives for dangerous choices.
In particular, the trailer shows in vivid detail how the students opted for wrong decisions that send them down the wrong path. It dishearteningly forced them to pay the price for the crimes they committed without an ounce of guilt.

The wrong choices that started it all
Quiet model student Jisoo (Kim Dong Hee) carries a secret that no one knows about. Dreaming of living a simple life, he leads a shocking double life which had himself involved in an organized crime.
Gyuri (Park Ju Hyun) is the ‘it-girl’ at school having the brains and money to splurge on. However, behind her picture perfect life, she harbors resentment unable to bear the overbearing expectations of her successful parents.
To escape from the pressure, Gyuri becomes an accomplice to Jisoo. She assists him with his operations without any consideration of whether he consents or not.
Unfortunately, Jisoo and Gyuri’s business went out of control. It leads them to a point of no return.
To make matters worse, the school’s number one bad girl Minhee (Jung Da Bin) and her boyfriend Kitae (Nam Yoon Su), the unrivaled school bully, become entangled in the mess. That makes all of their lives thrown in a complicated situation none of them can escape.
