1 DAY SURABAYA HIGHLIGHT TOUR

We will meet at the designated meeting point, and let’s start our tour today. Our first stop will be the SURABAYA ZOO (KEBUN  BINATANG SURABAYA), which is one of the popular zoos in Indonesia. It houses hundreds of different animal species, including the Komodo Dragon. SURABAYA ZOO is also recognized as the largest zoo in Southeast Asia, sprawling across 37 hectares of land.

The journey continues with a visit to the HEROES MONUMENT SURABAYA (TUGU PAHLAWAN SURABAYA), a monument built by Bung Karno (the first president of Indonesia) to commemorate the fierce struggle of the people of Surabaya (arek-arek Suroboyo) against the Allied and the Dutch forces to defend the independence of Indonesia. Inside, we’ll delve into history in the Diorama Room, Auditorium, and Library Room that we’ll explore together.

Around noon, we’re going to grab some lunch at a local restaurant, and then we’ll continue our journey to DE JAVASCHE BANK MUSEUM; a currency museum that divided into three rooms: the Currency Collection Room, the Ancient Money Room, and the Conservation Collection Room, along with the Cultural Heritage Collection Room. We’ll take you on a tour to explore and learn about the history of Indonesian currency there.

To wrap up our tour today, we’re gonna check out the last iconic spot in Surabaya – the SURABAYA SUBMARINE MONUMENT. It’s a real submarine preserved to honor the bravery of Indonesian heroes who fought against the colonialists. This monument is even hailed as the biggest Submarine Monument in Asia.
