Difference Between 5G and 4G Networks

The 5G network is the fifth generation of telecommunication network development in the world. Of course there are some differences from the network revolution from 3G, 4G to 5G.

The communication revolution has appeared every nearly 10 years, since the discovery of the 1G era in the 1980s. On the 1G network, the mobile phone can only feel the phone features.

In the first generation of wireless networks it carried sound waves using radio waves without encryption. Anyone can listen to the conversation using the available components.

Then followed by the introduction of 2G which can send messages with other cell phones. This generation was built in the 1990s. In this network, the network provider has provided call encryption facility.

On this network, users can use the internet but use dial-up at a fairly expensive rate.

As quoted by Wired , the first 3G network was built in the early 2000s. However, in that year, 3G only spread in several regions of the United States. This network operates at a transmission speed of 8 Megabits per second.

The era of 3G networks is considered to be the forerunner of technological developments, because it has triggered the mobile phone manufacturer industry to develop superior features. In this year, Samsung and iPhone competed to develop their products.

Followed by the 4G network in 2009, this fourth generation network has accelerated data downloads by up to 10 times that of the 3G network.

5G Network

Slowly the telecommunication revolution developed and made it possible to do other things, such as streaming movies and doing face-to-face using mobile devices.

By definition, the 5G network results in higher surfing speeds and the lag time between when the device requests information and receives it, which is called lower latency.

The 5G network will use high-frequency radio waves in addition to the frequency ranges that are already in use, and will work with smaller wireless access points.

Quoted by Mitsloan , the development of the 5G network is claimed to provide convenience and develop several industrial sectors. Such as entertainment, manufacturing, retail, health care, hospitality, agriculture, finance and shipping and transportation services.

With the use of the 5G network, it is predicted that it will increase the development of artificial intelligence, machine learning, the use of industrial robots, drones to the development of smart cities.
