How to Do Supine Spinal Twist

Over on the YBC Yoga Forum, we're talking about favorite yoga poses. Come join in on the convo!

Ah, the supine spinal twist. This bad boy is always a class favorite. It's excellent for digestion, as it compresses the releases the internal organs, providing a gentle internal massage, and it's a great feel-good, total body stretch that opens up the back, shoulders, chest, and hips. I try to stay in this position for between 7-10 full, deep breaths, focusing on the exhale. As you exhale, visualize the bent leg knee and the shoulder melt toward the ground. Perfect at the end of a long day!

Let's talk What's your favorite feel-good stretch?
